In the 2nd, which is in St. Charles County, state Sen. Scott Rupp (right), R-Wentzille, is the undisputed fiscal frontrunner. In the 24th, in central St. Louis County, the edge goes to Democrat Sam Page (left) and Republican John Lamping, who both face primaries.

What a waste!!! It's clear that Mike Corocoran, with his recent DWI & lack of fundraising can't win the primary.

It's also clear Barb Fraser isn't much better than Corcoran in the fundraising category. She's giving up a county council seat that can revert back to the republicans for her own selfishness.

Neither Corcoran nor Fraser can beat Page in the primary. They're only going to force him to spend money the he otherwise could save until the general election. Thus, putting in jeopardy a state senate seat AND a county council seat that are currently both in democratic hands.

mikado

The MIKADO has a little list … were you on it?

The St. Louis Beacon rang in 2012 with a concert performance of Gilbert & Sullivan's beloved operetta, "The Mikado," at the Sheldon Concert Hall, and the Higher Education Channel was on hand to record it. Here is a link to the complete perfomance, which we hope you'll enjoy.

The musical direction of "The Mikado" was by Amy Kaiser; Craig Terry was conductor-accompanist. All proceeds from ticket sales benefitted the Beacon.
