In an early commemoration of the Dec. 1 World AIDS Day, actor, author and St. Louis native Michael Kearns brings his play "intimacies" back to his home town Friday, November 20.
Co-founder and artistic director of Artists Confronting AIDS, Kearns announced his HIV-positive status in 1991 on the TV show "Entertainment Tonight." "intimacies" will be performed at 8 p.m. at the Metropolitan Community Church of Greater St. Louis, 1919 South Broadway. General admission tickets are available at the door. Audience members are asked to pay between $10 and $25 per ticket. No one will be refused entry to the show. Nancy Larson is a freelance writer who, among other things, writes regularly on theater.
