Above you will find a directory of locally-produced theater performances in the region. The information is presented in a timeline, to let you know what shows are playing when, as well as a map, to let you know what shows are playing where. Click on a show in the timeline or a bubble on the map to get more specific information about that show as well as a link to the company's Web site. Click and drag left and right in the timeline view to scroll through the dates, which are displayed at the bottom of the timeline. Click and drag to scroll around the map or use the toolbar to zoom in and out throughout the region to find which shows are playing near you. You can narrow your search using the boxes at the left: Type the name of a company, show or venue into the search box to filter the timeline and map displays. Alternatively, click the name of a company, show or venue in the boxes at the left to filter the timeline and map displays to show just your selections. You can use the checkboxes which appear to select multiple items. If you want to reset your selections, either refresh the page or click "Reset All Filters" just above the timeline. The St. Louis Beacon rang in 2012 with a concert performance of Gilbert & Sullivan's beloved operetta, "The Mikado," at the Sheldon Concert Hall, and the Higher Education Channel was on hand to record it. Here is a link to the complete perfomance, which we hope you'll enjoy.
The musical direction of "The Mikado" was by Amy Kaiser; Craig Terry was conductor-accompanist. All proceeds from ticket sales benefitted the Beacon.
