A St. Louis-based production company shared the national spotlight at the 2010 Tony Awards Sunday night June 13 at Radio City Musical Hall.

The awards include best play for John Logan, best performance by a featured actor in a play for Eddie Redmayne (right, in the character of Ken) and best direction of a play for Michael Grandage. Other awards were for scenic design, lighting design and sound design.

"Red" tells the story of the artist Mark Rothko and his efforts to accept his own fame and wealth, which led to his downfall. Alfred Molina stars as Rothko.

isaacson100mike.jpgMike Isaacson (right), who runs Fox Theatricals with Kristin Caskey, said he is honored by the recognition "Red" received.

"This extraordinary play continues a tradition of excellence that began when Mary and Leon Strauss and Robert Baudendistel saw the possibilities of theatrical magic when they re-opened the Fox Theatre," Isaacson said, in a press release. "Fox Theatricals is an extension of that vision; one now seen on Broadway, London and around the world."

Fox Theatricals has produced 12 Broadway plays and musicals since 1999. It is also involved in London and U.S. national tours of "Legally Blonde the Musical."
