We're coming up on two arts events worth a mention: The literary arts group StudioSTL is holding its end-of-year author party on May 13. Meanwhile, the Regional Arts Commission is preparing for its 25th anniversary event, which takes place May 21 and features Rocco Landesman, chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts.

graduation100sxc.jpgInterested in a motivational speech or eight? May is your month. Colleges across the region are holding their commencement ceremonies over the next several weeks, and the speakers -- from the U.S. Energy Secretary to an Iraq War veteran to the executive director of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities -- are finalizing their addresses. feedlogo100.jpgWelcome to ‘The Feed.’ In this space, I’ll be writing about issues that are important to people in the much-sought-after 18-to-35 demographic. Look for coverage of a wide range of topics – housing, jobs, politics, health care, the environment, community service, technology, education. There will be plenty of original content, as well as links to timely studies and articles published elsewhere.
