Educators file suit against ballot proposal that does away with tenure, mandates evaluations
Opponents of a Missouri initiative-petition proposal that requires a new evaluation process for teachers, and does away with tenure, have filed a lawsuit challenging the proposal’s ballot summary, which they say would mislead voters. The ballot proposal doesn't use the word "tenure." A group supporting the ballot measure calls it “forward-thinking initiative.” Backers seek to put the proposal on the 2014 ballot.
