Jason Rosenbaum writes about politics, policy and everything in between for the Beacon. A native of suburban Chicago, Jason graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in 2006. His work has appeared in publications such as the Columbia Daily Tribune, Missouri Lawyers Media, the Columbia Business Times and the St. Louis Business Journal. He also has written about music for the Riverfront Times.
During his time as a state government reporter for the Columbia Daily Tribune, Jason reported on the Missouri General Assembly. He also covered local and national elections, including the presidential contest in 2008. In Columbia, he recorded a weekly radio analysis for NPR affiliate KBIA and served as an adjunct instructor for Mizzou's J-School for a semester in 2009. After moving to St. Louis in 2010, Jason spent a year as the web editor for Missouri Lawyers Media. He freelanced for the Beacon in 2009 and from 2011 to 2012, writing about state, county and local politics.
Jason resides in St. Louis Hills with his wife Lauren Todd, an engineering librarian at Washington University.
