Stray Rescue medical bills

Former A.G. Edwards CEO Robert Bagby, who has supported Stray Rescue previously, says he and his family will match up to $100,00 in money donated to the Stracks Fund. That fund goes to pay emergency medical treatment, which is needed because of the number of cases of abuse and neglect that the shelter sees regularly.

Two-time Tony award winner Norbert Leo Butz is returning to St. Louis to headline a benefit concert for The Angel Band Project, which works to help survivors of sexual violence. The event will be at 7 p.m. May 8 at the Sheldon Concert Hall.

The local organization is holding its “Living Out Loud” gala and auction April 27. The event, which helps fund research, educational programs and outreach, will be held in the atrium of the Edward Jones Corporate Headquarters in Des Peres.

Special games deserve a receptive crowd

On April 27, the 39th Annual St. Louis Metro Area Spring Games, presented by Special Olympics Missouri. will be held at Westminster Christian Academy. Some of these athletes will be going on to the state games.
