The next Beacon & Eggs, the popular series of town-hall style meetings sponsored by the St. Louis Beacon and KTRS, will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday, July 20 at the studios of KTRS. The recent Supreme Court decision to uphold the act has set off reverberations across the nation and in the region. Join us as moderator McGraw Milhaven and Beacon reporter Bob Joiner interview key stakeholders in St. Louis about how the act might be implemented and the benefits and costs involved. Questions from the audience will be invited and the forum will be broadcast live from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on KTRS 550-AM.
DIRECTIONS TO KTRS
KTRS is in the West Port Plaza shopping center east of Interstate 270 and north of Page Boulevard. Parking is free on the outdoor lots surrounding the center. The KTRS studios can be found on the second floor in the building that also houses the Funny Bone night club and the Drunken Fish restaurant. (It also used to house Ozzie’s restaurant.) The closest parking is in the lot north of the McDonald’s restaurant. A map of the center can be found at http://www.westportstl.com/map
Beacon & Eggs is a monthly event that takes the Beacon staff out of our office and into the community. Each month we visit a different region of St. Louis to meet and greet with community members and discuss local issues.
Coffee and pastries are served from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., followed by a panel discussion from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. These events are free, and all are welcome to attend!
