"The winning play of Mustard Seed Theatre's inaugural New Play Contest THE GEOGRAPHY OF NOWHERE by local playwright Joshua Cook, will be performed as a staged reading on Sunday, April 22nd and Monday, April 23rd 2012.
THE GEOGRAPHY OF NOWHERE is a twisting journey of three individuals that share little in common aside from apartment walls, but are united by the drive to build a spiritual utopia.
A staged reading focuses on the actors reading and walking the play with minimal set and props. Scripts are held by the actors so movement is minimal, but the staged-reading process gives the playwright and audience a general idea of what the play would look like "on its feet."
THE GEOGRAPHY OF NOWHERE will be directed by the New Play Contest Coordinator Emily Immer, at the Fine Arts Theatre located on the Fontbonne University Campus just south of Wydown Boulevard on Big Bend in Clayton. Show times are April 22 and 23 at 7:00pm. Tickets are $10. This play features adult language and situations. To make reservations, please contact Mustard Seed Theatre at 314-719-8060 or you may purchase tickets online at www.mustardseedtheatre.com. "
