Ann Romney to raise money in St. Louis
After watching tonight’s debate, Ann Romney, wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, will be heading to St. Louis for her own turn at a podium Thursday night.
Republican sources say that Ann Romney will headline an evening fundraising event at the Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis, with tickets ranging from $1,000 to $50,000. The top donation will get attendees a picture with her.
The Beacon first reported of Ann Romney's scheduled stop more than a week ago, when the campaign cancelled plans to hold a late September event with her husband.
Ann Romney’s visit comes from days after her husband’s campaign shifted his small state campaign operation from St. Louis to Florida, among a handful of key states for Romney and President Barack Obama.
Both camps seem to cede Missouri to Romney, which would explain the lack of presidentiasl campaign ads running on TV stations in the state.
