Beverly Farm benefit will feature art, music
The Beverly Farm Foundation will host an evening of appetizers and art at the Jacoby Art Center in Alton from 5-7 p.m., Saturday Aug. 4, to benefit Beverly Farm and the expansion its art program.
Guests can enjoy food, cocktails, and music from string ensemble Sheer Elegance, while viewing works of art produced by Beverly Farm residents. At the end of the evening, attendees can bid on works by artists from around the country.
All proceeds will support Beverly Farm, a residence and training center for adults with developmental disabilities in Godfrey. The not-for-profit organization is home to approximately 400 adults and focuses on giving residents a full and productive life according to their own functional capabilities. Organizers hope funds raised at the event will allow the residence to expand its art program, adding more frequent classes and more varied supplies.
Tickets for the event, "I'm An Artist," are $75. To order or get more information, call the Beverly Farm Resource Development office at 618-466-0367, ext 627. For those unable to attend the Aug. 4 benefit, the artwork will be on display at the Jacoby Art Center, 627 East Broadway, Alton, until Aug. 11.
