Arts Note: Symphony offers European experience -- for free
Local music lovers can hear and see the St. Louis Symphony’s European concert without ever leaving the city or paying a dime. But reservations are required.
The Symphony presents a free preview of its European repertoire Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. The Powell Hall performance includes works by Brahms, Schoenberg, Sibelius, Gershwin and Elliott Carter.
The Sept. 4-7 tour, the symphony’s first since 1998, will take the musicians to London, Berlin, Lucerne and Paris.
