Kevin Kline theater awards suspended
The Professional Theater Council of St. Louis is suspending operations of its Kevin Kline Awards. The decision means no more judging will take place this year, no awards will be given for 2012 productions and no awards ceremony will be held next year. Still, organizers said the Klines are not announcing an official demise.
The move is being blamed on financial issues.
The awards, instituted in 2005, are named for actor Kevin Kline, who grew up in Clayton.
