The circus comes to Citygarden

When events like a Cardinals game, a big concert at Peabody and a major America’s Center exhibition collide in one evening, downtown St. Louis can become a circus. But today, even without those big crowd-drawers, downtown resembled a big-top show.
Circus Flora brought a 30-minute preview to Citygarden, including clowns, unicyclists, jugglers and dogs jumping through hoops. At times, it resembled a free-for-all, with dogs refusing to cooperate, jugglers dropping their pins and random children dashing away from parents and into the spotlight.
Actual Circus Flora performances continue through June 24 in Grand Center every day except Mondays. Visit www.circusflora.org for information and tickets.
