Arts Note: $100,000 NEA grant will preserve signature Laumeier sculpture
Laumeier Sculpture Park has announced a $100,000 Art Works grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The park is only one of two Missouri awardees of the nearly $25 million grant Art Works program.
The NEA grant will be used to restore one of Laumeier's most prominent sculptures, "Untitled," by Donald Judd. Since its installation 27 years ago, "Untitled" has sustained both environmental and human damage.
Restoration will take approximately 11 months.
