Santorum planning campaign blitz Saturday morning in west St. Louis County, amid caucuses
Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum has scheduled campaign stops in the St. Louis area early Saturday, and hopes to visit a caucus or two as well.
A campaign spokesman confirmed today that Santorum – who overwhelmingly won Missouri’s non-binding Feb. 7 primary – hopes to duplicate some of his strength in this weekend’s Republican caucuses, which will count.

Santorum – who was last in Missouri just last weekend -- plans to hold a rally Friday morning in Osage Beach, Mo.
On Saturday, he plans to hold a “meet-and-greet” beginning at 8 a.m. at Westminster Christian Academy, 800 Maryville Centre Drive, in Chesterfield.
Shortly after 9 a.m., he is planning another “meet and greet’’ in the community room of the Schnucks supermarket in Wildwood, 16580 Manchester Road.
Santorum then hopes to stop in at least one caucus site in west county, but is still working out which site and when, a spokesman said. He wants to make sure that reporters are allowed to accompany him.
