Beacon & Eggs for March 13 — Cyberbullying
Beacon & Eggs was March 13 at Christian Brothers High School. Panelists Tina Meier of the Megan Meier Foundation and Dr. Erin Shannon, a doctor of clinical psychology with a practice in St. Louis talked about cyberbullying.
KTRS 550-AM host McGraw Milhaven moderated the panel and Beacon reporter Kristin Hare, also posed questions. The audience had students from CBC as well as community members.
The Megan Meier Foundation was established by Tina Meier in the wake of her daughter’s suicide, which was the result of cyberbullying. The foundation’s mission is aimed at bringing “awareness, education and positive change to children, parents and educators in response to the ongoing bullying and cyberbullying in our children’s daily environment.”
